"Chatamari" Nepali pizza is a kind of rice crepe.
A traditional specialty of the ethnic group called "Newars" of the Kathamndu Valley in Nepal".
It is eaten during festivals and other special occasions.
It is now widely eaten as a snack and has become popular among other cultures too,
because of it's perfectly crunchy pizza crust made of rice flour.
The topping can be anything from vegetarian style or a non-veg style.
It is often made with minced meat like buffalo or chicken along with the onions.
But in Korea we use pork instead of buffalo meat.
It also is topped with some cheese and an egg.
The chatamari is cooked on the stove top all at once and only takes a quick 7-8 minutes.
The mixture that is put on top of the pizza is seasoned with all those delicious Nepalese spices including
some red chili powder and a fresh chili for a touch of heat.
"Chatamari" can be served as an appetizer, a snack, or as the main dish.
